Summary of Me
For as far back as I can remember, I've been involved in artistic pursuits, albeit loosely defining myself as an artist. My artistic inclination became evident at a young age when I impressed my mother by drawing characters from my Mickey Mouse comics with remarkable likeness.
During my school years, art classes were the sole ones I truly relished. However, life took its course—I joined into the military, married, began a family, established a small communications company, and worked for the Federal government, the State of Texas, and when I "retired" I worked for Jerry's Artarama, which became my most favorite job. Throughout these endeavors, while focusing on sustaining my family and making a living, I always indulged in art. Whether it was painting, block-cut printing, or simply sketching, creativity persisted. Then, I reached a stage where financial concerns waned, allowing me to devote myself entirely to art. Presently, my endeavors span pottery, painting, crafting tie-dyed bandanas, and occasional forays into button-making and book-binding—art has become the cornerstone of my days.
